Prospects rankings

Here's is my prospects rankings - I've ranked any players (who has been drafted) who did not played in the NHL or played less than 40 games. Before your draft starts, make sure you know who is eligible in your draft and who isn't.
Also, around the end of august/early september I'll post my fantasy hockey rankings for yahoo public leagues or any 1 yr leagues (non keeper), then if I have the time I might post some rankings for keeper leagues.

The Fantasy Hockey Geek's 2009 Mock Draft

Well the past few days I was working on a mock draft, and it's done, so here is The Fantasy Hockey Geek's 2009 Mock Draft:

The Fantasy Hockey Geek's 2009 Mock Draft

1. New York Islanders - Victor Hedman D
The Islanders has Okposo, Bailey, Comeau, Joensuu and Petrov on offense and no one on defense, I believe they will draft Hedman, who patterns his game after Nicklas Lidstrom.

2. Tampa Bay - John Tavares C
Well Tampa wanted Hedman but if the Islanders gets him, they has no choice to draft Tavares. If the lightning are "forced" to draft Tavares they could trade Vinny Lecavalier.

3. Colorado - Matt Duchene C
Well Colorado will simply draft the BPA, which is Duchene, he's a very skilled player.

4. Atlanta - Evander Kane C/RW
I've heard Atlanta really likes Kane, he's a power forward and he has been compared to Jarome Iginla, he's also a player you'll want on your fantasy hockey team cuz of the PIMS he could get.

5. Los Angeles - Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson LW
Well Paajarvi-Svenssson is the BPA and LA are stacked on defense, so they will draft him, he's a very skilled player.

6. Phoenix - Jared Cowen D
Toronto are lucky, Phoenix are passing on Schenn, I think Phoenix needs a defenseman, so they will have the choice between Cowen and Kulikov, I think they will take Cowen.

7. Toronto - Brayden Schenn C
Well the Schenn brothers are reunited in Toronto. Schenn is a power forward.

8. Dallas - Jordan Schroeder C
Dallas doesn't have any specific needs, so I think they will draft the BPA, which is Schroeder.

9. Ottawa - Dmitry Kulikov D
Ottawa already have Brian Lee and Karlsson on defense, but I think they will draft another one this year. Kulikov patterns his game after Andrei Markov.

10. Edmonton - Scott Glennie RW
Well Edmonton will draft the BPA, which is Glennie.

11. Nashville - Nazem Kadri C
Nashville doesn't needs a defenseman so they will draft a forward. Kadri is a small skilled forward.

12. Minnesota - Zack Kassian RW
Well Minnesota will get Kassian, I think they likes tough players.

13. Buffalo - Oliver Ekman-Larsson D
Buffalo has Tyler Myers and Chris Butler in the system, but you never have too much defenseman, so they will take another one.

14. Florida - John Moore D
I think Florida will also take a defenseman.

15. Anaheim - Simon Després D
Anaheim will possibly lose Niedermayer and Beauchemin to free agency, so I think they will draft another defenseman. Després is 6'4'' and 205 lbs.

16. Columbus - Ryan Ellis D
Well Columbus, it's known, they needs defensemen so their pick will be Ryan Ellis, who has a terrific shot.

17. Saint-Louis - Louis Leblanc C
It sucks for Montréal, St-Louis will draft a québécois player. Leblanc has a good work ethic and he's good with the puck, well that's what they say on nhl.com. :D

18. Montréal - Calvin De Haan D
Well Montréal might lose Komisarek this summer. Valentenko went back to Russia, Yemelin is staying in Russia, O'Byrne is taking a long time to establish himself as a defenseman in the NHL, David Fischer is going round in the American colleges. I think the habs will draft another defenseman this year.

19. New York Rangers - Jacob Josefson C
The Rangers drafts the BPA.

20. Calgary - David Rundblad D
The flames doesn't have a lot of young defensemen in the system, so they will draft one.

21. Philadelphia - Carter Ashton RW
22. Vancouver - Peter Holland C
23. New Jersey - Olivier Roy G
24. Washington - Landon Ferraro RW
25. Boston - Stefan Elliott D
26. Islanders (from San Jose) - Kyle Palmieri C
27. Carolina - Jeremy Morin LW/C
28. Chicago - Drew Shore C
29. Pittsburgh - Jordan Caron C/RW
30. Detroit - Tim Erixon D
